Two works are written by Sigmund FREUD. The first one, "Five lessons on psychoanalysis" gathers 5 lectures given by FREUD in 1909. In it, FREUD revisits the precursors of this discipline such as Josef BREUER and uses concrete examples. He takes the case of Anna O, suffering from hysteria, treated by BREUER. He then explains the basis of his psychoanalytical theory, based on free associations, on the interpretation of slips of the tongue and dreams... According to Maïté KLAHR and Claudie MILLOT, this beautiful set illustrates "the progression of Freud's thought until the end of 19093. This copy is enriched by "Contribution to the History of the Psychoanalytical Movement". FREUD's second book is entitled "Essays in Psychoanalysis". It gathers 4 texts of the famous psychoanalyst having a major importance in his work. This set allows easily to dive into the heart of the psychoanalytical theory. Various themes are addressed such as "Beyond the pleasure principle", "The church and the army", "Consciousness and the unconscious" and "The states of dependence of the self". Fine copies. The lot also contains two volumes of "La Psychanalyse, recherche et enseignement Freudiens de la société française de Psychanalyse". Published by the Presses Universitaires de France, they are numbers 2 "Mélanges cliniques" and 6 "Perspectives structurales, Colloque international de Royaumont". The first volume reviews clinical work, foreign work and a critical review of psychoanalysis. Many specialists participate in this work, LACAN, LAGACHE, LEFORT, KAISER... The second volume, enriched with diagrams, provides a synthesis and an assessment of the Royaumont International Colloquium. 4 works in this set are also interested in certain specificities of psychoanalysis. Thus we find a copy of "The Crisis of Psychoanalysis" by Erich FROMM, which is interested in the application of psychoanalysis to social dynamics. His study oscillating between MARX and FREUD is deeply interesting and relevant. Within this copy are the handwritten notes of psychiatrist Ludwig FINELTAIN. A fundamental and deliberately synthetic work, this manual explains the basic notions of forensic psychiatry in a rapid and precise manner. The rules of criminal law are explained quite synthetically. The work of S. NACHT, "De la pratique à la théorie psychanalytique", published by the Presses Universitaires de France, is a beautiful study of the differences between psychoanalytical theory and practice. Based on numerous examples, the author depicts certain fundamental notions of psychoanalysis such as the study of neuroses, aggressiveness, masochism... Nice copy. Another rather interesting item completes the set: "Capitalism and Schizophrenia the Anti-Oedipus". It is the first of two volumes resulting from the collaboration between Gilles DELEUZE and Félix GUATTARI. The main theme is sexuality, as neurosis, as madness, as the essential character of the human being. This angle of attack then allows the author to carry out a schizo-analysis of man. Beautiful work, with fascinating subjects. The last item in this set is a third edition of the "Abrégé de médecine légale". This fascinating little booklet lists the various topics used in forensic medicine. Deaths by firearms, blunt weapons, suicides, wounds, rapes, all crimes are discussed at length. Visual and scientific considerations are included in this beautiful book. Diagrams are presented at regular intervals to aid in understanding.
