[Internal Medicine - Surgery - War - Neuroleptics - Dictionary]
This small lot is a nice set of two large books and one small booklet.
This lot includes DAVIDSON's "Internal Medicine, Principles and Practices". Issued from the translation of the 18th English edition, this imposing work reviews all the internal diseases of the human body.
In colour, with diagrams, sketches and illustrations, infectious, cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, metabolic, digestive, skin, blood and nervous system diseases are studied.
The analysis goes further by looking at the principles of psychiatry, geriatrics and therapeutics.
This complete, illustrated, documented and precise set is a titanic and successful work for professionals and students.
A fine copy.
Another monumental work is present in this lot. It is the dictionary of neuroleptics.
These drugs aiming to reduce certain neuroses, are studied and listed throughout the book.
The end of the book is enriched with an index and, above all, with descriptive sheets of the main neuroleptics available. These sheets provide valuable information on the mode of treatment, dosage, side effects, etc.
A complete reference work.
The last volume in this set is a charming booklet dated 1958 published by the Ministry of National Defence and the Armed Forces.
It is a small summary of the role of the unit doctor in wartime.
General cases such as wounds or simple pain, the application of tourniquets and splints are presented alongside "complicated cases" such as asphyxia or abdominal injuries and evacuation procedures.
Illustrated with diagrams, X-rays and photographs, this booklet is really interesting and provides a nice study of the doctor's action in the field.
Lot containing 3 books.
