EIGHT ARMED TARA Lot n° 52

Bronze Tibet or India , 12th century Weight: 608 grams Dimensions: 12 x 9 x 6,5 cm Seated eight-armed Tara on a high lotus throne. Her eight arms are fanning out to the side holding objects like a bow. Her body is bent to her right and her head tilted to her left creating an elegant shape. She has four faces and her hair is done up in a high chignon decorated with a tiara.
