He points out a big mistake in the layout of the model which was not communicated to him as agreed: "page 39 the drawing is printed upside down and the title destroys the drawing. [...] The drawing has its foot in the air - and the misplaced title indicates that the model is crouching - which is not true, since he is sitting on a chair. Matisse suggests sticking a butterfly with the title reversed from the direction of the book and he DRAWS the current state of the print and the solution he proposes... "Other than that everything is fine. [...] As soon as I have the colour proofs, I will send you the litho"... An amateur photograph (6,5 x 9 cm) is attached.
