dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: USA, Rifled, round, 50 cal. barrel with foresight and adjustable rear sight marked at the base with Lawrence patent of 1859. Iron frame with Sharps patent marking of 1852 and remains of Lawrence marking of 1859. Mark 'C'. The counterplate with Sharp's patent of 1848. Bolt with opening lever. Working mechanics. Smooth wooden butt and fore-end (signs of use); the counterplate with saddle bar (missing ring); iron butt plate. Serial no. '34xxx'. length 99 cm.
