The statue is modelled on the famous Minerva Giustiniani, a Roman copy of the 5th-4th century derived from a Greek original, found in Rome on the Esquiline Hill in the 17th century and belonging to the nobleman Vincenzo Giustiniani, banker and art collector, now in the Vatican Museums, H. 84 cm.
