ITALIAN ARTIST (15th-17th century) (15th-17th century) Fire-layer on field with corpses and mourners. Allegorical representation. Pen-and-ink and brush drawing in grey-brown wash with double border line in brown, 17th century. Verso inscribed in pencil by another hand "P. Presus 1667". On light buff laid paper with unidentified watermark with superimposed circular figures with bell (?), S and cross. 18 x 23.5 cm (sheet: 19.1 x 24.5 cm). Faintly foxed as well as verso in the upper corners with (slightly shining through) mounting remains. [ms]
