Atlanta 1996. Keter- Kiptanui, 3000m steeplechase © Christian Rochard/ L'Équipe 2 August 1996. So far, everything is in order: two Kenyans are leading the Olympic final of the 3000m steeplechase (the country has held the title since 1968) and Moses Kiptanui, the three-time world champion, the first to have covered the track, which is strewn with hurdles and rivers, in less than 8 minutes, is in the lead at the start of the final lap, ahead of Joseph Keter. The two men crossed the river together but Keter broke away over the last hurdle. Kipta- nui will remain one of those "magnificent cursed" who also make the history of the Games. Single later print. Edition 1/1. Printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta Satin 300g paper. Flamant art frame. 40 x 60 cm
