on watermarked paper, written in black script, dated and situated. These are acknowledgment of debt to 'Alī Dīn al-Naṣārī al-Siriyyān (the Nazarene), by Fāṭima b. Karīm al-Dīn al-Nimrī, for 60 piastres, en ṣafar 1104 (october 1692), and from Fakhra b. al-Khwāja Muḥammad al-Ṣāliḥ, for 132 piastres, ramaḍān 1102 (may 1691).
