Carpet in the point of the Savonnerie (CNA : Compagnie nationale des artisans français aux Indes) around 1960.
Decoration reminiscent of the carpets of the XVIIIth century. Black field with scrolls of old gold crenellated branches with acanthus leaves, decorated with a large central round ivory medallion with a flowery crown, and framed by two symmetrical sky blue cartouches.
Beautiful frame with gilded wooden bamboos.
Wool velvet on cotton foundation.
