"12 projects" (1962). Gouache on paper, titled, dated and signed on the back, mounted in a white mat and wooden frame. Dim. frame: 52 x 42,5 cm ; subject: 33 x 24,5 cm. Painter, pastellist and author of collages, Pierre Clarebout (Ypres, °1933) starts his abstract and geometrical work at the end of the 50s, after a figurative and symbolic period. The geometrical constructions he assembles are often related to elements borrowed from his hobbies. Most of the time, he starts from a reality but abstracts it until it becomes unrecognizable. Friend of Marcel-Louis Baugniet for almost twenty years.
