in ivory and brown highlights, representing a recumbent buffalo with its calf lying beside it, licking its mother's cheek, a loin resting loosely on the latter's back, the eyes inlaid with brown horn, the hair carefully figured in brown. Signed Tomoharu in a cartouche on the belly of the animal.
