LARGE HEXAGONAL VASE Satsuma stoneware vase with polychrome and gold decoration, the six panels alternately decorated with characters of legends and birds among trees and flowers, the edges, in relief, and the foot, decorated with floral, geometric and stylized motifs. Mounted on a European openwork bronze base, with six feet in the form of stylized dragons; the opening encircled by a stylized bronze frame. (Pierced bottom; under reserve of the neck and the base).
