Circled in brass, under glass, wooden frame with old sales label and identification: "Auguste Da., Bayonne 1810. Auguste Darnner S Lieutnt to the 115th of line. Killed in 1812 in Spain. A.B.E. Auguste Danner is well referenced as killed on November 11, 1812 at the battle of the Balaguier Pass.
