18th century Vincennes porcelain glass or liqueur bucket Mark in blue with two interlaced Ls, date letter A, unidentified painter's mark
A polychrome decoration on each side of birds, blue combed and gold nets on the edges, restored, small chips and wear
Notes :
This painter's mark formerly attributed to Tabary is questioned by David Peters in his publication on the Sèvres services; it can nevertheless be traced to a painter specializing in bird decorations who worked between 1753 and 1756.
For two pairs of similar forms, one with blue combed decoration and flowers, the other with birds, see the sale at Me de Maigret, Collection Ortiz-Patiño, June 6, 2018, lots 7 and 8.
L. : 19 cm
