Kasprzykiewicza, in Warsaw, with the purple stamp of "Magasin français/ 8 rue du Oemte Berg/ à Varsovie" on the reverse. Titled and numbered "N°238 / Twardowski. (Basn)" in the left margin. Margins. Good condition. Pan Twardowski is, in Polish literature and folklore, a sorcerer who signed a pact with the devil by selling his soul in exchange for supernatural powers. 31 x 43,5 cm. Condition A.
