The young woman, whose gaze is focused on the distance, is animated by all the nuances that the background of the image models on her face. For the latter, the artist used inks and monotypes on paper, which she then scanned. The result is as many landscapes that glide over the skin, with its fine drips and irregularities. The features of the character match the furrows of the background. Darker areas, as if shaded by passing clouds, as well as large areas of light express the inner life of the character, whose story is told before our eyes.
