It is the sight of lush vegetation, evocative of a place left untouched by humans or a lost paradise. The perfection of the image is truer than life. The colours are vivid, the shapes precise, the natural species dense and varied. On closer inspection, the strangeness becomes apparent: minerals, plants and animals hybridize with each other, as in a microcosm with its own laws. It is in fact an image generated by an artificial intelligence, itself fed by the memory of our world. If this world is in perdition, the machine carries the utopia of its regeneration.
