Gestation is a matter of time, just as what the new millennium is preparing for is in germ in the days that precede it. Almost minimal in its composition, the photograph concentrates its meaning in a few elements, brought together there as if by happy chance: a pregnant woman, the approaching third millennium and three birds, posed on the parapet and ready to fly away, like a message of renewal.
