The image is divided in two. The lower part is the inverted reflection of the other: New York City seen directly and, at the same time, seen through the waves of the Hudson. But on closer inspection, we see that the two halves are different, close and yet distinct. Which one would be real? The one that stands in the right direction, where the buildings clash and King Kong threatens from all his height? Or the one in the reflection, more orderly, more grey, less cinematic? In the foreground, the Statue of Liberty seems to send us this message: the city is all of this at once, what we see of it and what we dream of it.
