The title "Panoptes", which means "he who sees all" in Greek, refers to the myth of the Giant Argos whose head was covered with a hundred eyes. Made of pâte de verre, in collaboration with the Daum crystal factory, the flowers have a heart in the shape of a human face. The petals themselves, at their tips, seem to have eyes, like the plumage of a peacock. On closer inspection, it becomes clear that each side of the flower differs from the other. The two figures coexist thanks to the transparency of the glass. It is the human being and his reverses which are evoked here, through the charm of this coloured flower.
