LARGE silver CAFETIERE, PARIS 1809-1819 by Antoine HIENCE, insculpation in 1798. Of baluster form, it rests on a circular pedestal lined with a frieze of laurel leaves on the upper part of the plain body. The spout is decorated at its base with a palmette and foliage and features a ram's head. The neckline is bordered by a frieze of water leaves and the lid is topped with a pine cone. The handle is made of blackened wood with a low mascaron attachment (small shocks). PB. 828 g. Height: 30,5 cm.
