Silver covered LEGUMIER and its lining, PARIS 1819-1838 by Marc-Augustin LEBRUN, insculpted in 1810-1811. Of circular form, the plain body bordered with gadroons is engraved with the arms of Pierre LEANDRE DE MARK-TRIPOLI DE PANISSE-PASSIS (1770-1842), Peer of France. It is provided with two handles in celery branches joined by a ring. The slightly domed lid, also engraved with the coat of arms, ends with a grip in the form of two horns of plenty facing each other and joined by a shell (the body without a goldsmith's mark, small dents in the lining).
