LARGE silver CAFETIERE, PARIS 1819-1838 by Quentin BASCHELET inscription in 1815-1816. Of ovoid form, it rests on three clawed feet with palmettes attachments. The plain body is girdled in high part of a frieze of heart stripes and the neckline underlined of a frieze of pearls. The spout with a horse's head has an attachment decorated with flowers, leaves and palmettes. The lid is lined with rows of pearls alternating with stripes and topped with a pine cone-shaped frieze. Wooden handle in swan neck damaged (slight shocks). PB. 962 g. Height: 31,8 cm.
