A silver DRAGEOIR, PARIS 1819-1838 by Etienne-Auguste COURTOIS. In the form of a covered Medici vase, it has a pedestal decorated with a gadrooned ring and bordered with a frieze of laurel leaves resting on a square base with ball feet. The body is decorated with dolphins facing each other around a shell on both sides and large palmettes on the sides, topped by an openwork gallery. It has two swan-necked handles inside which a pair of doves is nestled. The cover is bordered by a frieze of pearls and ends with a swan-shaped grip on a rose-shaped terrace. Later crystal interior with a chip (folds in the lid and small bumps). Pds. 492 g. Height: 26.3 cm.
