RARE ECUELLE covered in silver, RENNES 1735-1736 by Jean-Baptiste BOULLEMER received in 1705. Of circular form, the plain body is engraved, like the lid, with the coat of arms of the FERRE de la VILLESBLANCS family (parish of SEVIGNAC) surmounted by a marquis crown. It has two handles in the form of radiating gadroons and cavets, the lid with a doucine underlined by a frieze of gadroons, ends with a knob decorated with a female profile resting on a radiating terrace (slight traces of old coat of arms on the opposite side). Weight. 754 g. Length. 30,5 cm. Diam. 17,8 cm. Height 11,5 cm. The FERRE de VILLESBLANCS family had two councillors at the Parliament of Brittany in 1689 and 1723. Marie-Louise FERRE de VILLESBLANCS born in 1704 married in 1736 to Jean-François le VICOMTE, Lord of la HOUSSAYE, he was himself a councillor at the Parliament of Brittany.
