BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF SILVER CANDLES, AIX-EN-PROVENCE 1744-1750 by Jean-Baptiste RICHARD received in 1738. They stand on a scalloped base with steps decorated with fillet mouldings. The umbilicus is on the sides and supports a triangular shaft chiselled with shells extending into a spatula. The hexagonal tap is square (polished with a small crack in a punch). Weight. 1414 g. Height: 24.3 cm.
