RARE PAIR OF SILVER SOAP AND SPONGE BOWLS, PARIS 1785 by Jean-Charles ROQUILLET-DESNOYERS received in 1772. Resting on a pedestal with contours and fillet mouldings, the plain soap ball and the sponge ball with worked decoration of foliate scrolls on both parts, are topped by a slightly domed plain circular terrace (both marked under the foot and inside the lid). Wt. 356 g. Height: 9 cm.
