SMALL silver traveller's stove, PARIS 1781-1782 by François RIEL received in 1769. Circular in shape, it rests on three scrolled feet joined by a ring supporting the covered pot. The body whose molded edge is decorated with cut volutes and a shell has three fluted uprights. They continue at the level of the belt with a double console motif, those outside ending in three removable tabs in the form of fleur-de-lis. Turned wooden handle (well marked, tiny dent). PB. 430 g. Diam. 11 cm.
