BELLE ECUELLE covered in silver, PARIS 1714-1715 by Antoine BERTIN received in 1700. The basin of circular form is plain and engraved probably with the arms of alliance CARRE de SAINT GEMME (Poitou) or MARTONNE (Normandy). It is flanked by two ears decorated with radiating gadroons. The doucine lid, also engraved with these arms, has a tiered terrace underlined by nets going up in concentric circles around the knob with the same decoration (marked on the body, the ears and in the lid). Total weight 684 g. Diam. 17,5 cm. Length: 28.8 cm.
