A composite Coptic linen and wool fragmentary tunic, circa 5th-7th century A.D., comprising two embroidered clavi down either side of the tunic, and a panel on each sleeve, a frieze of animals and birds, with border of spiral hooks, 124 cm. high, 212 cm. across sleeves
Provenance: Private family collection formed in the 1970s and gifted to the present owner in 2010
