An Egyptian turquoise glazed composition shabti with black glazed details, holding two hoes, with a frontal column of hieroglyphic text, inscribed for Djed-Ptah-Iwf-ankh, wearing the seshed fillet and a seed-basket across the back, Third Intermediate Period, 22nd Dynasty, circa 900 B.C., 10cm high, repaired across the middle
Provenance: Previously in a Private collection UK, gifted by Spink and Sons circa 1952, and by repute acquired in 1910 by the then Bishop of Cairo who was a keen amateur Egyptologist.
