Three Mesopotamian buff coloured coarse ware pottery vessels, including two dishes, one with straight-sided collar rim, the body tapering to the base, 14.1cm diam., an old ink label on the underside of the base inscribed ‘Ur of the Chaldees’; another with gently sloping sides tapering to a raised circular base, 11cm diam., an old ink label on the underside of the base inscribed: ‘vase found at Ur dating from about the time of Nebuchadnezzar’ and a globular vessel with flat base and broad flaring neck, 11.2cm high, an old ink label on the underside of the base inscribed ‘Ur of the Chaldees’, circa 1st Millennium B.C.
