ALBUM OF OLD POSTCARDS IN BLACK AND WHITE ON VIETNAM. 56 pages of 4 postcards each, that is 224 postcards mainly produced by Editions Photo Fernand Nadal, Saigon (1921-1935) : Rare views of Cholon, Cap Saint-Jacques, Chaudoc and various cities of Cochinchina (Travinh, Giadinh, Cangioc, Bentre, Baclieu) and the Mekong Delta (Mytho).
Note: Nadal worked from 1921 onwards for the General Government of Indochina, for the owners of big palaces in the peninsula, for big local companies and for Saigonese traders. Until 1935, he published printed albums and postcards and owned a subsidiary in Phnom-Penh. The album proposed here gathers non-travelled postcards, constituting a real photographic and geographical encyclopaedia of the Cochinchinese provinces of the 1920s.
