Rare furniture key in iron pierced and chased from the 16th and 17th centuries. The ring is decorated with a large fleur-de-lis, chased in the round and surrounded by a three-lobed lace. The whole is inscribed in a large oval ring which was initially crowned with a small ornament. The flattened spherical boss enhanced with mouldings and fillets is topped by a large octagonal cut-out plate. Stem with triangular section, drilled with a triangle. The handle has a double protruding snout and rakes, pierced with various spinning wheels (oxidation).
Elegant French work of an uncommon motif and of a great quality of execution.
