Shaped velvet suit, Louis XV period, circa 1730 -1740, shaped velvet pinned bonze decorated with arabesques of foliage and stylized flowers adorned with covered buttons in pareil and large buttonholes and embroidered false buttonholes on the front, on the pockets and flaps, along the back slit and cuffs with large split lapels receive four buttons and embroidered false buttonholes thinner, silk twill lining (some minor accidents and wear).
To be compared with a similar velvet in the Richelieu Collection, part of the purchases of King John V of Portugal for his wardrobe in Paris around 1735.
