This engraving is part of the « Album Fenaille » or « Album Goupil », publication dedicated to Auguste Rodin's works, published in 1897. A majority of drawings feature Dante's Hell, they are
generally referred to as "dessins noirs".
One copy of this album can be found in the archives if the Musée Rodin.
