This is a very beautiful story that of this incredible batch. The author, a graphic designer from Geneva, after a few comics published in Switzerland (General Dufour) and a prize in Sierre in 1984 (La marche du Pion) has a project for a series (Paragon Lodge) that he proposes to JL Vernal, the editor of the newspaper Tintin. An agreement in principle is given, so he begins the realization of the album. In the meantime, JL Vernal left his post and in November 1988, the newspaper Tintin disappeared. The album being finished, the author proposes it to the Kesselring editions in 1989, which accept to publish it. Unfortunately, in 1990, the Kesselring editions go bankrupt and our author has only time to recover his originals. Wearily, he will turn to another more prosperous activity... The action of volume 1 takes place in England in 1947. A lifeless body has been fished out of a Swedish fishing port. When reading the diary, Karl Elsdal, an expatriate lawyer in London, thinks he recognizes his childhood friend, Peter McBride. Karl confides in his partner, Edgard Noda. Karl leaves for Sweden to find out more. Edgar, without any news of Karl, digs in the past of Peter Mc Bride. He will go from surprise to surprise. He will be confronted with a secret society linked to the arrival of Rudolf Hess in the UK. The style is very "ligne claire". The set includes the complete volume 1, 46 B&W plates 30x39cm on Assistent paper 35x50cm (1st plate signed on the back, all the others initialled), 1 test-color page 21x29cm, 1 cover 21x29cm, 2 promotional projects in French and English. All contained in a binder. The exhibition organized before the sale will be the only occasion to see the 46 plates and to be able to read or browse the story. Brand new condition!
