FOUR VASES
DATE: IV-III sec. BC.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: pinkish figulina clay, shiny black paint with metallic reflections, white and paonazza, modelled by fast lathe.
Skyphos with high truncated cone bowl, disc foot and horizontal stick handles, decorated with Ionic kyma, tremolo motif and band of dots above a bower with bunches and vines; small kylix with truncated cone-shaped bowl, low ring foot, stick handles set horizontally under the rim; two Daunian banded jugs with flared rim, ovoid body, disc foot, ribbon handle, set on the rim and shoulder (4)
PRODUCTION: Apulian black glazed pottery and Daunian pottery
STATE OF CONSERVATION: intact, with the exception of the skyphos chipped and lacunose of an ansa.
