First edition of the 212 woodcuts drawn by Gavarni, except the last 4 which are by Bertall, and of the qqes 800 woodcuts in the text. Text by Georges Sand, Gautier, Balzac, Musset, Soulié, Gozlan, etc. A very fine copy of the first printing, very wide margins and without any foxing in a pleasant well preserved contemporary binding.
