In-12°. Half havana morocco with corners, slightly postponed. Spine with 5 nerves decorated with compartments of straight and dotted gilt fillets. Gilt fillets on the boards. Covers included. Modern case. First edition without author's name, not justified, printed in 525 copies; here 1/400 on light vellum. Complete with the etched frontispiece by Bracquemond after a drawing by Charles Voillemot and the folded music plate between pp. 8 and 9. Handwritten note in ink on the title page: "Author Théodore de Banville". A very fresh copy. Provenance: Jacques Odry Library (ex-libris).
