Spines entirely covered with important gilt decorations. The title and tomes of midnight blue morocco decorated with dotted lines and gilt stars. Thread, dots and large gilt roulette on the boards. Interior gilt teeth. T. gilt. Posterior bordered cases. New edition with warnings and remarks for each play by Garnier. The volumes are respectively illustrated with a portrait after Rigaud (T.1) and 7 figures after Moreau le Jeune (2 figures (T.2), 4 figures (T.3) and 1 figure (T.4)). The 2 volumes containing Régnard's plays for the Italian theatre are not included. A magnificent copy, richly bound and decorated.
