In-8°. Full dark green marbled calf of the period. Smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets and fleurons. Title piece in black calf. Gilt thread on the boards and on the edges. Small gilt inner lace. T. marb. First edition illustrated with 4 beautiful figures by Guérin, engraver and designer from Strasbourg. The 3rd engraving represents Jean-Jacques Rousseau, leaning on his cane when, accompanied by a disciple, he finds the periwinkle. Work composed by Delille during his exile in Glairesse.
