Africa. Beautiful Mumuye statuette with traces of polychromy (Nigeria). Very beautiful Mumuyé statuette with patina preserving traces of polychromy. This statue is an oracular and healing figure. It is typical of the Mumuye style: slender with an elongated body and a small head, a long torso and arms and very short legs. It is a "talking figure", which was probably erected outside a hut or inside a building. H. approx. 90cm. (Africa, African art, Civilization and ethnic groups).
