Africa. Namji doll - Fali (Cameroon). Carved wooden body covered with textile, multicolored beads as well as slag and bells. Ethnic group of northern Cameroon composed of animist mountain people, the Dowayo, "Namji", use anthropomorphic figures, dolls, in fertility rituals. Women used to carry these dolls given to them by their husbands in the hope of becoming mothers. Wood, beads, cowrie shells, magical charges.
