First edition of this manual for the use of traders and financiers. It is illustrated at the head of the text with a vignette drawn and engraved on copper by N. Guérard, an initial engraved on copper and wood-engraved culs-de-lampe. The handwritten name (or signature?) of the author appears in the margin of page 1.
Provenance: several early manuscript bookplates to the title, including Cleenewerck de Crayencour (an important Flanders family); discreet stamp of a Catholic college in Lille.
