Founding work of the Ecole des idéologues conceived by the author in collaboration with Cabanis. Destutt de Tracy, one of the last thinkers of the Enlightenment, was especially one of the first liberal philosophers of the 19th century.
Volume 1 is from the 3rd edition, volumes 2 and 3 are from the 2nd edition; the 4th and 5th parts (Traité de la volonté) published in 1818 are not included in this copy, which is accompanied by the Principes logiques in their original edition.
