In-8, VIII-176 p., contemporary tortoiseshell calf, smooth and ornate spine, tan basane title-piece, triple fillet and gilt fleurons on the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, red edges (superficial rubbing).
Polemical work by Abraham Joseph de Chaumeix, jansenist and convulsionist, collaborator of the review "Le Censeur hebdomadaire" and fervent opponent of philosophers and encyclopedists. Born in 1730 in the Loiret, he was exiled to Moscow where he died in 1790.
