First clandestine edition, out of trade, published without date or mention of publisher by Paul Morihien. It is illustrated with 30 lithographs by Jean Cocteau, including a frame on the title, repeated on the cover, and 29 full page erotic compositions.
Edition at 525 copies. One of 500 on vellum, this one being more specifically one of 460 numbered in Arabic numerals (n° 219).
A very well preserved copy, complete with the author's note on a flyleaf starting with the following words: "A sudden weariness made us abandon "Querelle" which was already unravelling. It is enriched with two unsigned erotic pencil drawings, in the manner of Cocteau, on tracing paper.
