Very beautiful album designed by the painter Roger CHASTEL (1897-1981) and including 25 watercolor compositions by Jean Saudé, including one on the cover and 24 out of text. Three of them are on double page.
In the tradition of Sem, Chastel caricatures here the regulars of the casino of Deauville, attacking in passing the money men, the jockeys, the young turkeys, etc.
Edition at 300 numbered copies on large bamboo fiber of Cochinchina (n° 6).
Copy enriched with an original drawing signed by Roger Chastel, which is a study for one of the characters of the plate captioned " Je le sentais, celui-là ".
Soiling, tears with missing parts and restorations to the cover which, due to its fragility, is almost never found is very good condition. First and last leaves browned.
